JDR racing launch night

JDR racing, supported by Fairburn Heating Solutions had a successful launch night on 16th March.  The bikes looked great and there was a good audience there to see them, the riders and to wish the team good luck for 2019.

Ben and Ewan both participated in the ‘No Limits’ endurance race last weekend with  a 2nd and 8th place.  Ewan was supported by our very own Craig Carr!

With the season opening race on 19th April, it’s now down to the final testing this week and then the final preparations for a successful season.

Preparations are underway for ISO 9001

Our Operations Manager, Emma Tucker (second from right) successfully completed her ISO 9001 Quality Management Training Day last week as part of our preparation for full accreditation later this year.  The course, run by ISO Quality Services Ltd. in Worcester included key subjects like leadership, risk-based thinking, internal auditing and non-conformance.

Emma said “the training day was a very useful preparation for our drive towards ISO accreditation which is a key goal for Fairburn Industrial Heating in 2019.”

JDR racing going well in the Spanish sunshine

JDR racing, supported by Fairburn Heating Solutions in the 2019 BSB Superstock 1000cc and Superstock 600cc championships are having their final winter test in Spain before the first round of the championship at Silverstone at the end of March

The riders are all making tweaks and adjustments to their bike setup and their riding style.

We’re really excited about the 2019 season!

We’ve been busy!

2019 is already turning into a busy year here at Fairburn Heating Solutions. We’ve introduced some structural changes to increase our field service capacity as our customer base continues to grow.

Within the team, James has passed his LPG gas ACS qualification, and completed a ME12 Mechanical to Electrical Conversion course. Danny and Martin, our trainees have completed their basic gas safety courses & portfolios of evidence and will be sitting their ACS gas exams March and April.

With a growing team and increasing expertise, we’re looking forward to supporting more customers this year.

Top Safety Accreditation for Fairburn Heating Solutions

We have been awarded accreditation from Alcumus SafeContractor for achieving excellence in health and safety in the workplace. Alcumus SafeContractor is a leading third party accreditation scheme which recognises extremely rigorous standards in health and safety management amongst contractors. It is used by thousands of organisations in the UK including SMEs and FTSE 100 companies.

Our application for SafeContractor accreditation was driven by the need for a uniform standard across the business. SafeContractor accreditation will enhance our ability to win new contracts, and its commitment to safety will be viewed positively by our insurers when the company liability policy is up for renewal.

Gemma Archibald, Director of Alcumus SafeContractor said: “Major organisations simply cannot afford to run the risk of employing contractors who are not able to prove that they have sound health and safety policies in place.” “More companies need to understand the importance of adopting good risk management in the way that Fairburn Heating Solutions has done. The firm’s high standard has set an example which hopefully will be followed by other companies within the sector. SafeContractor plays a vital role in supporting our clients in meeting their compliance needs, whilst working with their contractors as they progress through the accreditation process.”
